Within EuroDairy, the work stream on Animal Care focused on three subthemes a) Practical Welfare assessment; b) Alternative housing systems (including combination with grazing) and c) Reduction in the use of antimicrobials. This report provides a reflection on future research and development needs, as well as some considerations for policy.
